The fresh organic free-range eggs from Piney River Organics™ are produced here on the farm, delivered directly to your store, and are USDA certified organic by Quality Assurance International.
Organic certification assures our customers that neither the hens nor their eggs are exposed to potentially harmful antibiotics, herbicides, pesticides, growth promoters, and animal by-products in their feed, water or surroundings.
Black Eagle Farm is located in central Virginia, 100 miles from Richmond, 130 miles from Washington DC, and 180 miles from both Baltimore and Raleigh. Buy from a Virginia family farm and leave a smaller carbon footprint.
The eggs are collected and packed daily here on the farm to the highest international organic standards. We are members of the British Free Range Egg Producers Association (BFREPA), and are a traditional family farm with a long history of treating our animals and the environment with respect.
In co-operation with Big Dutchman Europe, a world leader in organic poultry design and equipment, we completed our first innovative organic layer house in April 2008, and we will be selling our first USDA certified organic free-range brown eggs by June 2008.
Our birds have free access to both ample inside housing and outside pasture ranging.
The organic layer operation will be USDA organically certified by Quality Assurance International (QAI).
