The fresh eggs are distributed by Piney River Farms LLC and delivered directly to your store all year round.
USDA organic certification assures our customers that the production is routinely, independently controlled, that neither the hens nor their eggs are exposed to potentially harmful substances, such as animal by-products, antibiotics, growth promoters, herbicides, hormones, pesticides, and preservatives in their feed, water and/or surroundings. That our Organic Free-Range Brown Eggs conform with the National Organic Program standards.
Piney River Farms is located in central Virginia, 100 miles from Richmond, 130 miles from Washington DC, and 180 miles from both Baltimore and Raleigh.
The eggs are collected, USDA graded, and packed daily to organic and humane standards. We are A Bee Organic, American Humane, Orthodox Union Kosher and Virginia's Finest certified. The birds have free access to both ample inside housing and outside ranging.
In co-operation with Big Dutchman Europe, a world leader in organic poultry design and equipment, we completed our first innovative layer house in April 2008, and started selling our first USDA certified organic free-range pastured brown eggs in June 2008.
